Configure Scoring

Scoring allows you to quantify vendor security posture based on their questionnaire responses. This guide explains how to set up and configure scoring for your questionnaires.

Overview

When scoring is enabled, each vendor answer receives a score value. These scores are aggregated to produce:

  • An overall vendor security score.

  • A score breakdown by section or by framework.

  • A comparison against your organization's baseline.

Enabling scoring

  1. Navigate to Settings > Questionnaire.

  2. Select the questionnaire you want to configure.

  3. Enable the Scoring option.

  4. Assign score values to each answer option.

Score ranges

Galink uses the following score ranges to classify vendor maturity:

Score breakdown options

By default, the score breakdown is calculated by section. You can also configure it by framework:

  • Select a framework for score breakdown (single select per framework).

  • This option appears only when scoring is enabled for the questionnaire.

Important: Changes to scoring configuration do not impact already sent, in-progress, or closed questionnaires.

Configuring baselines

A baseline represents the minimum acceptable score for your organization:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Questionnaire > Settings.

  2. Define a baseline per questionnaire section.

  3. During assessments, a visual graph shows the vendor's score vs. the tenant baseline.

  4. Hover on the graph to display detailed data points.
