Security Posture

This dashboard provides a high-level view of the organization’s overall security posture across all vendors. It highlights aggregated metrics, score trends, and key risk indicators.

This is the primary metric to share with the board.

How the score is calculated

Each vendor starts with a score of 100/100. After an assessment, the score is adjusted based on the severity and criticality of the findings:

  • Critical finding: -50 points

  • High finding: -25 points

  • Medium finding: -10 points

  • Low finding: -2 points

For example, if a vendor has two high findings, its score becomes 50.

The overall Security Posture Score is the average score across all assessed vendors. A score of 100 means that all assessed vendors fully meet your security requirements.

Beyond the current score, the most valuable insight is the trend over time. The trend chart is clickable and can also be analyzed by vendor tier, such as Tier 1.

Coverage

Coverage represents the percentage of vendors included in the score calculation. A vendor must be assessed to be included.

Score Trend — Clickable Data Points

  • Clicking a data point in the Score Trend chart opens a side panel showing the vendors for that date and their score change compared with the previous day.

  • The table can be sorted by “Previous Day” or “Score.”

  • Clicking a vendor redirects the user to the vendor profile.

  • Results automatically respect the active filters, such as tier and organization.

Activity

Provides a more detailed view of program activity, including key operational metrics such as the number of assessments completed, the number of vendors monitored, and other volume indicators.
